Following are a few friendly reminders to help make our Community a safe and wonderful place to live:

Garage Doors: Criminals love easy opportunities! To avoid problems, never leave your garage door open if the garage is unattended. This is a CC&R item as well, but one that should always be followed for multiple safety reasons. Burrows Security states this continues to be the #1 item being addressed with residents during their evening patrols.

Neighborhood Watch: Interested in getting to know your neighbors and make the community safer? You can do both by setting up a NW group in your portion of the community. Please contact Denise Costello with the Elk Grove PD at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if interested.

Levee Security: Only the City of Elk Grove and CSD have permission to drive vehicles on the levee surrounding the outer edge of our Community. If you see an unmarked vehicle, motorcycle, go-carts, etc. on the levee, call "911" to report the activity as the Elk Grove Police Department will it address immediately.

Going on Vacation: The Elk Grove Police Department (EGPD) can provide spot inspections of your home when you are on vacation. To find out more about the program and to coordinate accordingly, contact the EGPD at 478-8100. Burrows Security will also provide special spot checks during the evening between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. when notified. Residents should also shut off delivery of the newspaper and have a trusted neighbor remove any flyers that might accumulate around the front door. Taking such action helps prevent strangers from knowing you're not home.

Summertime Awareness: Many kids are out of school this time of year and the Elk Grove Police Department (EGPD) says it can result in higher crime. Always contact the EGPD if you see people in the parks an hour after sunset or if you see suspicious activity anywhere in the Community.
